My son got hit in the nose today at lunch, I think he actually said punched. And on purpose. For no reason. He didn't tell a teacher. There were tears. This was after I bit his head off in the car and hadn't even asked about his day. I suck
you don't suck. this is actually one of those moments when you hug your kid, tell him you are sorry and admit that you are far from perfect. it's a great thing for kids to see.
i am worried about him, though. do you think it's a bully situation? argh. he's such a nice kid. i hate junior high.
Remember that we went through this last year? Maybe it's time to teach him how to punch. I totally understand his not telling a teacher, you know as well as I do that telling could very well make his life worse.
You don't suck, Cher. You're just as human as the rest of us, so don't be too hard on yourself.
I hugged him and also let him have a whole hershey bar. I ALWAYS worry about him, no pattern and he was with friends. I know he HATES people in his space and I know middle schoolers love to be in each others spaces and the rough housing is huge. Karen-Yep telling a teacher is not the thing to do, especially when you would have to get up from the lunch table to do it. Punching back would be my first choice:) I would

Yeah, I'm afraid that we live in a world that makes punching back the best option. I hate it, but it's true.
